THE "LUCK" OF THE IRISH

I want to hire the ad agency that took on the St Patrick account.
That organisation did the business don't you think?
I mean, everywhere on the planet, people of every persuasion get dressed up as leprechauns, march in festive parades, drink green beverages (often of the alcoholic type) and generally revere, for at least one day of the year, all things Irish.
What the fuck happened to the clowns that handled the St Andrew (Scotland), St George (England) and St David (Wales) accounts?
Where in the world do people go and get blue, white or red for the day and behave in a typically Scottish, English or Welsh manner?
What did the Irish do so differently abroad that their culture is celebrated through the iconic reverence of a fabled personage whereas the others receded into virtual obscurity?
I bet that most people haven't even got a clue on which days of the year those other Saints' days fall....
No, didn't think so.
Bizarre, isn't it.

I want my mummy...bring back the goddess

From the persecution of independent-thinking women as witches, the suppression of gnosis through destruction of libraries, misogynistic interpretations and dogmatic preaching of ancient gospels in Judaism, Islam and Christianity, the passing of legislation preventing women from having electoral rights, the perpetuation of a subservient role through media advertising in the twentieth century, men have persistently eroded the status of women in society to the degree that even if she is  capable of doing the same job as a man, her salary scale is less than her male counterpart - why? Simply because she is a woman? Yes, of course but also because men are scared of her.
In this machismo respect, men have been the decision-making force on our planet since time immemorial and if we were to analyse the present status of Earth as a result, I'd have to say that they'd done a pretty godawful job to date. We are forever on the brink. And this is no accident. It's by flawed design.
It's the male ploy - divide and rule and maintain a state of fear through an illusory yet compelling Damoclean threat and the masses shall play ball.
Through this relentless intellectual and physical/material sovereignty, we have reduced our collective world view to that of a series of systems driven by, no, reliant upon external technology and physical dominance to the absolute detriment of our spiritual and emotional aspects.
As CS Lewis observed: "You don't have a soul - you are a soul. You have a body."
With the perpetuation of this feminine subjugation, we are bereft of spirit - we are rendered soulless. Spirituality in this man's world is reduced to organised religions squabbling over real estate while extorting money from their congregations to fund these conflicts. It's a beautiful, self-perpetuating system and is as much about spirituality as politics is about serving the people. Smokeandmirrorsism.
Men have been subverting information from the day they realised they had to masculate God, as all of these creation stories made a whole lot more sense if a feminine principle were in play. If we were to take the gender role out of the equation: God made humankind in its image - i.e. Created a microcosmic blueprint here on Earth in line with the Hermetic principle of "as above, so below". Ergo: it would follow that the divine creator of new life from a macrocosmic perspective would be feminine as on Earth - a goddess.
This would confer absolute and divine status upon women on Earth and they simply could not have that. This, coupled with the fact that anthropogenic parthenogenesis is entirely plausible (asexual reproduction without the need of externally introduced fertilisation - virgin birth) would render the male role expendable - finite. And while this may not be a regular or noticed occurrence, we have no way of knowing whether or not this has been going on for millennia. It occurs in so-called lesser mammals and has been successfully achieved in the lab.
The most significant case recorded would, of course, be that of Mary, mother of Jesus, this subverted to the realm of fantasy and the miraculous. Perhaps not.
We've even written the feminine out of the holy trinity that obtained in the forerunner of Christianity - from God, Goddess, Progeny (Osiris, Isis, Horus) to the mechanical: Father, Son, Holy Spirit - woman? Boom! Gone.
The bottom line is that women have that infinite potential and are more representative of godlike power than the attributes that were bestowed upon men. I believe we've been trying to assert our illusory authority ever since instead of revering what women actually are and what they truly represent.
If we allowed the true natural order of things to unfold and women had been acknowledged in the role of creators and nurturers of, not only families, but communities and nations, I do believe this world of ours and humankind per-se would be in a far more balanced and healthier state.
Left to men, it's a sorry pile of crap I'm afraid.
And by way of personal experience - throughout my career, I've always preferred working with empowered women (not women aspiring to be men but women in touch with their inner feminine power) who've been decisive, far more productive than men and prone to making humane decisions that serve a greater good rather than just elitist self interest. In that way, they too prosper in a sustainable paradigm.
What men have created in fiscal, environmental and governmental systems throughout history have resulted in the most unsustainable world imaginable.
It's a work in progress but I firmly believe that if we want to save ourselves, we need to suspend our ridiculous egos and start handing power over to those designed to use it. Women. Goddesses.
The ironic paradox here is that men choose to rule through fear while being the most frightened creatures on the planet - a classic case of perpetuating the cycle of abuse.
Men have failed and I'd love to pity them but we need to do something. Something different. And fast.

Obese Cops - it just shouldn't happen

Is it just me or does everyone wonder in despair at the awful rudeness and wastefulness of movie characters through history?
The script will go something along the lines of:

"Meet me at Charlie's bar at ten - I'll give you the information face to face…"
"Okay…make sure you're alone..."
And then they just hang up - no goodbyes, see-ya-then - nothing!
That's the first thing and it seems to be an Americanism - when they deem themselves to be finished talking, they simply terminate the connection.
Manners cost nothing, buddy! Say goodbye for fuck's sake!
So then comes the rendezvous time of ten pm and our protagonists meet.
There can never be a simultaneous arrival - that doesn't even happen in real life - someone gets there beforehand and someone arrives later - odds are neither of them pitch at ten - which would also just be - well - fucking polite…
And so now they sit ensconced in the smoky booth at the back of Charlie's Bar and Grill.
Inevitably, the movie soundtrack - Charlie's jukebox music or whatever - is louder than the dialogue has been so you need to fiddle with the volume or adjust the sound model on your home entertainment system and just when you think you have that right, the movie sound engineer tones down the background and the pair are suddenly screaming at each other.
More adjustments…
Bottom line: the earlier arrival has already ordered and is sipping a scotch on the rocks or a bourbon - whatever.
He nods to the barman and asks for another for the late arrival.
His own drink is replenished, there is a nominal amount of cryptic dialogue and the arcane information is imparted.
The guy whose drink has just arrived, nods, thanks the snitch for the lowdown and the drink and pisses off, drink untouched.

Similarly, the beat cops have been parked in the diner car park and the rookie has been despatched to get the double cheeseburgers, fries and "sodas".
He dutifully arrives with the cholesterol crate in tow just as the senior officer fields a call via despatch about a two-eleven in progress just four blocks from their present location…
The food is ditched straight into the garbage can that the movie set-dresser has conveniently placed next to the patrol car and the two intrepid law enforcement officers screech away, sirens blaring into the balmy L.A. night…

These dudes never get to finish a donut, a burger, a packet of fries, nothing - so why is there such a glut of obese cops in America if that's the case…the fuckers never actually eat?
Not to mention the tonnes of nutrition (?) that is dumped daily into garbage cans wherever American cops ply their trade.
Please don't tell me the movies they make about these guys aren't accurate - it would devastate me but I would be eternally boosted all the same if this was all mere fiction and the rude, fat bastards actually did say toodle-pip at the conclusion of a telephone call.
That would restore my faith in movies and law enforcement in the bastion of global civil liberty - the good old US of A.
Thank you and goodbye...

GREY the novel, update…murder and sexual philandering

I'd just like to extend gratitude to all of you who've bought GREY the novel in ebook format through Kobo.
http://goo.gl/EbMTAc

Thank you very much indeed.
I've now got to the point where sales have produced my first royalty payment, which, although modest, is a real milestone for me in my literary career.
If anyone would like to offer feedback about the book that would also be most welcome. Either here or on my author website
http://goo.gl/fjci2P

And if you'd like to network the novel to your friends that would also be greatly appreciated.

As far as the completion of (The First Book Of) PRANA goes (2 volumes), I am still busy with a small rewrite of certain sections to excise the (privately owned) song lyrics from the work as the permissions and flak I picked up from the owners was just silly.
I think they had some skewed idea that this was a book glorifying satanism or something and I was using songs like Murder By Numbers (The Police) to create incitement for dark deeds, which is ludicrous. I'm not sure what they thought exactly but the songs were used to form context only not to suggest that they promoted violence and murder…as was suggested by Jimmy Swaggart in 1983 when that specific song was released.

Aside: A poetically sweet paradox about that proclamation by Swaggart, was that a few years later in 1988 he was involved in a sex scandal with a prostitute and then again in 1991.
He had accused Sting and The Police of being "the sons of satan…"
Amusingly, at a Frank Zappa concert (1988), Sting guested to provide vocals for the song which Zappa covered and which later featured on his Broadway The Hard Way album. In the introduction to the song, "Mr" Sting (as Zappa dubbed him) raised the Swaggart issue, saying: "Four years ago, Jimmy Swaggart said this about me: this here song by the Police, Murder By Numbers was written by Satan, performed by the sons of Satan! Beelezebub! Lucifer! The horned one!
"I wrote the fucking song, alright…"
Which engendered much enthusiastic applauding.

The PRANA works (essentially complete), the second and third volumes in the series, The Lucifer Chronicles shall be available shortly…watch this space… http://goo.gl/pmLNIE

ON FREUD, REICH AND JUNG...

Why were all these "fathers" of psychoanalysis either Austrian or Swiss; Germanic if you will?
Is it that boring in the region that you have to obsess over your mom and sex (not necessarily in that order) and then bring in all those role-playing archetypes just to spice it up a bit?
Surprised these dudes didn't consult from S&M dungeons in their homes......or maybe they did.
PS - I would never take life advice from a guy with a hairdo like Wilhelm Reich's, especially not romantic advice.

WHERE HAVE MEN GONE SO TERRIBLY WRONG?

This situation is truly out of hand!

As men instinctively feel the empowerment of women, and those men who aren't emotionally mature, process this as mirroring their consequential disempowerment, they come up with more and more pathetic excuses for their inability to assume responsibility for themselves.

Easier to blame the woman and that's exactly what weak men do.

Real men are invigorated by an empowered woman and in a working relationship, this paradigm creates amazing synergy.

I despair of what's taken place culturally and within mainstream religions where man's misogynistic interpretation of the scriptures and the cultural traditions have been perverted to disenfranchise women to the point that they're seen as subhuman and are treated as property.

Paradoxically this merely exemplifies the subhumanity that males actually embrace.
In South Africa - 181 (reported) rapes occur on a daily basis* and they say the percentage going unreported is astronomical… there is a profound sickness within the male psyche that needs to be addressed urgently.

*(SAPS published crime stats 2012/2013)

Someone said on facebook earlier today that a woman asks to be raped as much as an animal asks to be abused.
Truly sad…

We need to educate and empower men in spiritual and emotional ways rather than simply perpetuate this illusory base of power of the physical/material and intellectual.

In that way we'll bring balance back to the imagined dichotomy.
